Live at Hammersmith Odeon is a 1994 live album by the British singer Kate Bush. It is a re-release of a video recording of the 1979 The Tour of Life, first released on home video in 1981, complete with a CD version of the video.
The video and CD contain twelve songs from the tour, consisting mainly of songs from The Kick Inside and Lionheart with a new song "Violin"; which would subsequently appear on Bush's third studio album Never for Ever in 1980.
In September 1979, Bush released an EP of four tracks recorded at the final dates of her only major tour, called On Stage, which reached No. 10 in the UK singles chart. The EP includes a performance of "L'Amour Looks Something Like You" which was cut from the abridged live album.

In 1979, Kate Bush embarked on the first and last tour of her entire career. Given the paucity of her live shows, this CD, only available together with the video of the show, must stand as her only live album. The video effectively shows the extent of her theatrical and very highly choreographed show, but the CD hardly stands up as a live album on its own. Only half of the songs actually performed on the night actually make an appearance. The songs are mixed to sound like their studio counterparts, and the only song graced with a new arrangement is 'James and the Cold Gun', the new and dramatic end section of which accompanied a dance piece in the show. Bush does the best she can with her vocals, given the strenuous nature of the dancing involved in the show, but naturally they tend to be a little breathy and unfocused, and the backing vocalists don't always do a good job trying to reach her high-pitched vocals. Completists will want this, but for others it is inessential.
